Architect & PhD in Geography

Her speciality is to assist territorial administrative and economic organizations in national or international level, to implement policies and programs. She diagnoses conceptualizes and implements development policies and then organizes the logistical and financial structures for programs implementation and evaluation.

She deals with issues related to social stability, territorial development and approaches to urban planning (decentralization, governance, climate change, regional integration). She is expert in gender equality and woman empowerment within the United Nations. She is responsible for raising funds and organizing partnerships.

Projects (EDR-group URBACO Algeria) for the Algerian Ministry of Planning and Environment. Projects for local and regional authorities, municipalities, towns’ communities, Countries, General Council, Regional Council, DDE, DRE, various agencies.

Expert UNDP (UN) for the realization of the Millennium Development Goals MDGs.

  • 2000-2002: Attached temporary teaching and research in the University Paul Valéry Montpellier III Home of Geography, CNRS.
  • 1997-2000: Representative of Consulate of Algeria in Montpellier in Social and Legal issues and Responsible for Public relations
  • 1995-2000:  Work in NGOs (mediation, consulting, integration), lecturer in Geography at the University of Montpellier, geography and history

Chafiaa Djouadi

R & D

She was a professor and a researcher at University Paul Valéry. Montpellier III. She is still a researcher in both laboratories, City and Health at the School of Architecture and Geography University of Constantine. She also takes part of studies at the Polytechnic School of Architecture Algiers (EPAU) in approaches and tools in sustainable development.
